Liberty comes home

Today was the big day! We headed to Sebastapool to pick up our new puppy "Liberty".  We decided on a nautical term for her name. On the ship when they would pipe Liberty it was the signal that the work day done and you could leave. It was always a favorite pipe to hear, so I imagine it will always be fun to hear Liberty's name called, especially when she goes to work with Daddy at his new boat! 

After we got her home the kids had fun showing her all her new toys. She had fun playing, but then needed a rest after all the excitement. I think she's going to fit right in around here.

Ski Getaway

This week Jim and I went away to go skiing in Tahoe. It was the first time in 4 and 1/2 years that we had been away by ourselves and the last time we were pregnant with Finn, but who's counting?

We decided to stay at the village at squaw so we could have maximum ski time during the day and maximum relaxation at night. There were very few people skiing since it was midweek, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. At night we tried the local restaurants and then relaxed in our room watching movies in bed. We even braved the cold walk to the hot tub one night. It was so much fun to be away and reconnect. Let's hope its not another four years before we do this again!

Puppy Pick out

Today we headed to Sebastapool to meet the puppies. When we got there we found six adorable girl puppies to choose from. The three boys were already spoken for. Most of the puppies were apricot colored but one had a lighter coat and she came right over to say hi. We wanted to give everyone a fair chance but she get coming to meet us. She even let Finn hold her and snuggle with her. We knew we had found our girl.

Fire Truck

Finn's loves trucks especially fire trucks. This was always a favorite toy to play with at Logan's house and today Logan passed it on to Finn. He was so excited! He couldn't wait for Daddy to get home so he show him all the cool things the truck can do.
