Journey Mural

Tonight the girls presented their journey animal mural that they have been working on. They girls shared some fun facts about the animals on the mural and how to protect them.

Monster Trucks

Tonight Jim took Finnegan to the Monster Truck Rally. They had pit passes so they got to get up close and see all the trucks before the show. Finn was in heaven, watching all the trucks. When he got home he couldn't wait to tell me all about it!

Ski Getaway

This week Kenzie had winter break from school. We had planned a family getaway to Tahoe, but the stomach bug made an untimely entrance into the Malcolm family house. Jim and Kenzie were the only ones spared, so they headed to Tahoe for a Daddy/ Daughter getaway. They spent the day skiing at Sierra and playing in the snow.

Happy Valentines Day

Tonight we took Kenzie on a date to celebrate Valentine's Day. We went to our new favorite restaurant Garden Bistro. Emme and Finn had fun at a special parents night out. They were excited to show us their Valentine's projects.

Puppy Love

Finn has been doing great with Liberty. He plays fetch with her and chases her around the house. When she's tired, he gently pets her and gives her love. They are quite a pair.

Marin Treks Birthday Party

Today was Nicole's birthday party as well as Kenzie's. Luckily we were able to schedule it so everyone could enjoy both parties. This morning we dropped Finn and Kenzie off at Studio for Art to help Nicole celebrate her birthday. The kids had fun smashing ceramic tiles and decorating wood frames with the pieces.

Today Mackenzie got to have her birthday party too. She is a lover of all things science, so this year we decided the party had to be at Mr. C's aka Marin Treks. The party was two hours long and she got to pick the animals they spent time with. She decided on snakes and leopard geckos. The kids took turns holding the snakes and building habitats for the geckos. At the end Mr. C. brought out a bearded dragon for Kenzie to hold. She was in heaven! This was the perfect party for our girl, she and all the other kids seemed to have a great time, luckily Mommy didn't have to touch anything except the pizza and cake:)

We ended our day celebrating with Anne and Levi. Today was Auntie's special day too. So many birthday's this weekend and so much fun!

Birthday Girl

Today Miss Mackenzie turned 7 years old, where does the time go? She was so excited to go to school with a special snack and celebrate with her classmates. After school she brought Kesang over for a play date. We made a special dinner of all her favorite foods: kielbasa, baked beans, macaroni & cheese and white broccoli (cauliflower). Then Jim bought her a peppermint and chocolate pie for dessert. We let her open her family presents: a new fish tank from us, a new Merida night gown from Mum Mum and an American girl dog carrier set and watch for her doll Josie. Then we all watched hotel Transylvania together. It was the perfect day, being 7 is so much fun!
