First Bath

Emersyn's belly button is finally healed, so tonight she got her first bath. Finnegan was very excited to help out. He was into putting soap on the wash cloth and rubbing her belly. He was amazing gentle with her. Emersyn was happy to lay in the warm water and enjoy the attention.

The Malcolm and Baysden kids all together at last. Its definitely getting harder to get them all to look at the camera..especially with this many! We're so glad the Baysdens were able to come and meet the newest Malcolm.

Cookie Time

 The Baysden girls are here for a visit from Alaska. Everyone was excited to have them visit and meet Emersyn. Lora Beth and I love to shop so we took the opportunity to take turns hitting the stores while Finn, Emalee and Emersyn napped in the car.  We left Mackenzie and Paige with Jim to work on Halloween cookies. The girls had a great time sampling the different icings.

Happy Anniversary

Today we celebrated 9 years of wedded bliss. We were lucky to have lots of baby sitters in the house, so we took the opportunity to go out to dinner. I missed sushi during my pregnancy so was very excited to partake. We went to one of our favorite restaurants in Novato, "Taki". Miss Emersyn was happy to tag along. After dinner it was time to take Mum Mum to the airport. We were sad to say goodbye, she has been a great help over the last 3 weeks.

October is here/ Early Birthdays

October is my favorite month. I love the fall colors and all the festivities. This weekend I was excited to get out the kids Halloween shirts and try them on for a few pictures. Having 3 kids and getting a good photo is proving to be a challenge!

 

 

 Tonight we had an early birthday celebration for Jim and Finnegan while Mum Mum was visiting. We made Paella and got a carrot cake for dessert(Jim's favorite). Finnegan got new jammies and a toy vacuum. He loved his gifts and spent the rest of the night vacuuming all the floors in the house. Now we just need to get him to use the real thing!

Sock puppets

Saturday nights have definitely changed over the last nine years in the Malcolm household. This evening we went to Michael's crafts and bought a sock puppet kit. Kenzie was very excited about this project and wanted to use every sticker available. Finn mostly wanted to put the stickers on the table, but still enjoyed being part of the project. I think the person that had the most fun was Jim. He was busy sewing on pom poms and attaching googly eyes. A good time was had by all!

Photo Shoot

Recently I found a coast guard wife that is also a photographer. She specializes in newborns, children and families. We were excited to have her come to the house and take pictures of the family for us. She set up her studio right in the living room and got a few quick shots of all three kids. Then Finn decided he was done, so Jim took the big kids to the store. Emersyn got to be star of the show and was very curious to see what was going on. The pictures I wanted were sleeping baby shots, so of course today was the day that Emersyn was most awake. We finally got her to sleep and got some great shots. After Marlene our photographer left, Emersyn was so worn out she slept the rest of the day. I was feeling inspired so I decided to try and get a few sleeping baby shots.
