All Saints Christmas Pageant

This year Mackenzie and Finnegan both got to participate in the All Saints Children's program. Finn's group the chipmunks were on first and I was worried how my shy guy would do. Well he got right up there and sang away. I was so relieved and impressed with my little man. Mackenzie was in the last group the beavers. She was part of the pageant. She played a dove a silent role, but she got up and sang carols with her group.
The whole show was very cute and we are excited for Emme's turn next year.

Gingerbread Compound

This year we bought a kit of 5 gingerbread houses so everyone in the family could build one. Well we quickly realized Jim is the engineer in our family. My house kept falling apart and I was loosing patience. So Jim took over and built the houses. Then Kenzie and Finn had fun decorating them and Emme tasted all of the decorations. They came out really cute and the kids were excited to put them on display. It's could thing we have Daddy around...I think he's a keeper!

GS holiday project

This week our daisies made wreaths and Christmas tree ornaments for the local nursing home. They presented them to the seniors and then sang Christmas carols to them. The seniors were very excited to see the girls and gave them a great applause at the end!

The Christmas Train

Today we headed to Fremont to ride the train of lights. The inside and the outside were decorated for the holidays. On board they served hot cocoa and cookies. Luckily we had a break in the rain and we were able to go to the outside car to see the lights. Every time we went around a bend you could see all the beautiful lights on the side of the train. It was a fun and festive event for everyone, we even got to say hello to Santa!

Tree Lighting

Today was the annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Novato. It was raining and miserable so the event was held inside. It was crowded and chaotic but Mackenzie got to get up on stage and sing with the girl scouts so she was very excited.

Little Red

Our elf on the shelf has returned for the holiday season and he just keeps popping up all over the place!

Let's bake cookies!

Mum Mum bought us a new cookies press and today she made spritz cookies with the kids. They made Christmas trees and wreaths and covered them in sprinkles. Mackenzie and Finn had fun taking turns with the cookie press and the decorating.
