Disneyland Day 1

Today was our first day visiting Disneyland with Grammi. We started off the morning at the Surfs up Mickey breakfast in the Paradise Pier hotel. We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and stitch. Kenzie was excited to meet the characters and have her picture taken. Finn wasn't sure about it and Emme was terrified. At the end of our breakfast they gave Finn a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday.

After breakfast we had a full day in Disneyland. We spent the morning riding roller coasters and meeting Merida from Brave. Then in the afternoon we met up with the Engler Family. Finn was so excited to see his friend Joey and go on rides with him. We didn't leave the park until after dark. We got to see the fireworks on our way back to the car. Everyone was exhausted and barely made it back to the hotel.

4 years old!

Today our little man is 4 years old. He is 42 inches tall and 42 pounds and wearing 4T.  He loves trains, trucks and super heroes. His favorite foods are spicy chicken, "turn tacos" (soft taco rolled up with cheese) and chicken nuggets. He loves school and his best friend is Joey. He is an early riser and comes to visit us every morning around 5 am. He usually snuggles up for a bit and then we send him downstairs to watch netflix on the ipad. He is a high energy kid and loves to run and jump. Recently he started playing soccer which he loves and this winter he is going to take gymnastics. He plays hard until he can't go anymore at which point he tells us he's going to "rest his eyes".  He loves to play puppies with his sisters. His puppy name is "Roxy". He and Emme play very well together, but are "double trouble" together. He is truly the little man of the house and we love him so!

Military Service Appreciation Day

In honor of Veterans day Mackenzie's school held a military service appreciation day. Jim came in uniform and talked to Kenzie's class. He passed out pictures of different Coast Guard units and stickers for the kids. Some of the questions asked by the kids. "What do you eat?" "Where do you sleep?" After the classroom there was a ceremony in the library. Mackenzie was very excited to show Jim her sign that she had made and stand with him in front of the students. It was a touching day and a proud moment for our family.

Happy Halloween

Today Mackenzie got to wear her costume to school. We were excited to meet her teacher for the day "Mr. Goulden". The kids had a parade on the playground danced to ghostbusters and ended the day with a halloween snack.

Trick or treating on Grant

Today while I was at work Jim took the kids to Grant ave for a little "safe trick or treating" at the local shops and restaurants. This Mackenzie is a pink pony (again) Finnegan was going to be spiderman but changed his mind at the last minute and wanted to be a fireman again. Luckily the suspenders adjust, we squeezed him into the costume one more time. Emersyn got to be a black kitty, she was hesitant at first but once she realized the rewards of the costume she was all about it.

Songs n Smores

This was a really cute girl scout event where the older girls taught the younger girls some fun songs, made crafts with them, taught them skits, and of course made smores. I was very disappointed they didn't share any with the mommy's!
