Ice Cream Social

Tonight was the ice cream social to celebrate the beginning of school. We started out our night having a picnic on the lawn with our friends. Then explored the different jumpies and the giant slide. We enjoyed some ice cream scooped by the teachers and ended our night doing zumba with our friend Heather. Aside from the cold and the fog everyone had a great time. It was so much fun to be back with all our friends.

First Day of School

This morning everyone was up early and ready to go. They all looked so cute in their new school clothes and backpacks.

Our first stop was San Ramon Elementary. Kenzie seemed a little nervous, but after we did a scavenger hunt and found her seat, I knew she would be fine.

Our next stop was to All Saints. This was the one I was worried about. For me and for Emme. So many milestones! New haircut off to preschool, I'm an emotional wreck. Finn went into his new classroom found a fire truck and was all set. Emme didn't want to let me go. It was too hard, I had to pass her off to Daddy and leave the room. He stayed for a few minutes and left her crying in the arms of Renee her teacher. I pushed home and empty double stroller and then went for a hike with some friends. I haven't been kid free in 6 years, I didn't know what to do with myself!

At pickup I found Emme eating at the table all smiles. I'm so relieved she had a good day. After we picked up Kenzie we headed to twisters for an ice cream treat. Kenzie reported that she loved her new class and teacher. She told Mrs Goulden " I think its going to be a great year!".

Pool time with friends

This was our last weekend before back to school, so we decided to meet up with some friends for a little fun at rolling hills. The kids were all excited to see each other. My friend Lisa brought her water camera and we had fun taking pics of everyone in the pool.

Last night Kenzie had Kesang over for a sleepover. This morning they had fun searching for bugs. They were very excited to find a praying mantis.

Back to school haircuts

Today we headed to the panda room to get everyone ready for back to school. Emersyn got her first haircut, no more cousin it! It was a very bittersweet moment for me. My baby is growing up too fast, can't she just stay a baby a little longer. At least she looked really cute with her new bangs, and there were no tears during the haircut.
