America's Cup part 1

Today Anne took Julia down to the city and met up with Jimmy and the boat. They went out on the bay to watch the races.

After their adventure on the bay they met up with up with us at Rolling Hills for Kenzie's stingray awards ceremony. Kenzie was so excited to get her first trophy!

Champs

This morning was Kenzie's final swim meet of the season. Champs is where every team in the Marin Swim league meet up and compete. We had to be there at 6:30 in the morning and it was freezing! Luckily our little swimmer only had to compete in 2 events and we were done by 9am. I couldn't get very close so my pictures aren't the best. I think if it K does swim team next year it will be a good excuse for a telephoto lens:)

I'm so far behind with blogging, I thought it might be easier to go backward. So if you see pool pics and then suddenly its Easter you'll know why:)

Today was another beautiful summer day in Novato. Kenzie had her friend Katie over for the afternoon, so we decided to head over to the pool and swim for a while. Both Emme and Finn have decided they like the big pool and they love to jump off the side. Finn has stopped using floaties and tries his best to tread water. Emme mostly hitches a ride around the pool holding onto our necks. Mackenzie has blossomed this year, with swim team. She is now swimming all over the pool independently and even braves the diving board.

Happy 4th of July

Today we spent the morning enjoying the Novato 4th of July parade. Kenzie and I marched with the girl scouts then sat with the family and watched the rest of the parade. It was over 2 hours long! Good thing we were in the shade. We spent the afternoon staying cool at the movies. 

Change of Command

Today marked the beginning of a new adventure for Jim. He took over as Officer in Charge of USCGC Sockeye. This has been a career goal for the last 10 years. It's going to be a challenge to have Daddy away a lot but we are very excited for him! This is such a proud moment for our family.

"Holy Kitty"

Emme got some new hello kitty aka "holy kitty" undies today. She was very excited!
