York's Wild Animal Kingdom

Today we headed to the Maine Zoo with Grammi. They had a new exhibit with butterflies. There were many different types flying around. They were so beautiful. After this we headed to show Emme the monkeys. These are her favorite and they put on a good show for her. After the monkeys we watched Kenzie chasing the ducks and visited the petting zoo. Grammi helped Finn and Kenzie feed the goats.

After the zoo we headed back to Grammi's house and spent the afternoon running through the sprinklers.

Visiting Grandpa Whiton

This morning we dropped Jim off at SELC school in New London and headed to Grammi's house. We made a quick stop in Worcester to see Grandpa Whiton. He is staying in a rehab center while recovering from a motorcycle accident. Uncle Matt drove down from Boston and visited with us.

 

Cape Cod Day 3

We spent our last morning on Cape Cod with Jess, Avery and Cheyenne at Cooperation beach. Finn loved playing ball with Avery on the beach and as the tide came in we had fun exploring the tide pools looking for fish.

After the beach we headed back to the Goley's house to celebrate Liam's 4th birthday party. It was tractor themed party with lots of fun games like sack races and pudding eating contests. 

We ended our day at Jess's house playing in the back yard and lighting sparklers. Our visit to Cape Cod was so much fun, but now it was time to take Jim to school in New London and head to Grammi's house.

Cape Cod Day 2

This morning we headed to Station Chatham to check out Rob's new office and take a tour of Chatham light. I've been a spectator from the beach many times, but never thought I would be inside the lighthouse. The kids were so excited to go inside and check it out. After we visited the station we headed to the dock so the boys could play with the "boat". Then we headed to Oyster Cove to meet up with Steph and the kids for a little beach time.

After the beach Jess took us to her favorite go cart place. Another first for the Malcolm's but a must when on Cape Cod. Kenzie and Finn loved this and were laughing the whole time and asking to go faster!

Cape Cod Day 1

Today was our first day on the Cape and we decided to head to the ZooQuarium in West Yarmouth with the Goleys. After we visited the animals we watched a presentation of an African pygmy hedgehog. Everyone got a closeup of look and even got to touch his spiky quills.

After the zooquarium we met up with my friend Jess, Avery and Cheyenne for some mini golf. This was our first time taking the kids to mini golf, and they loved it.
