Kastania Vineyards

In March I bid on a silent auction item for Kenzie's school fundraiser. It was a private tour and tasting for 6 at Kastania Vineyards in Petaluma. Well I won the item and thought it would be the perfect outing for me and my girlfriends. We decided to make a day of it. We started our day at Girl and the fig for cocktails and lunch on the back deck. Then we headed up to B.R. Cohn to sample some wine and olive oils.

After B.R Cohn we made our way to Kastania Vineyards. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners Linda and Hoot. Who is Hoot you ask, he's a "Hoot"! This guy had us in stitches from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left. They took us into the barrel room gave us samples right from the barrels, fed us lots of yummy snacks and told us all about the wines. Then we sat out on the patio and enjoyed the sunset eating more yummy snacks and trying all their different pinots. Everyone loved the wine and we all had to bring home at least one bottle.

After our tasting we decided we weren't ready to head back to reality yet so we stopped for a little Mexican food and pina coladas at Las Guitarras. This was such a fun day with the girls and so many fun memories. We need to plan more "Mommy" outings!
