Today I chaperoned Kenzie's field trip to Tolay Lakes Park in Petaluma. We got to take a big yellow school bus which is always exciting, but I think Kenzie's favorite part was the animals. She got to hold a baby chick, pet a goat, meet some roosters, search for owls in the barn and plant seeds for the garden. We ended our day with a picnic lunch with our friends. While waiting for the bus to pick us up a snake fell out of one of the trees. Most kids and Mom's ran away screaming! Mackenzie ran towards the snake and picked it up to get a closer look. Then she wanted to know if she could bring it home. That's my girl the animal lover!
